Modular Life was made for a group exhibition at William Bennington Gallery at Combe Trenchard, Devon. It continues the theme of coloured paint on stone that began in the Experiment in Colour series. Here the forms are breaking away from the rigid upright position of the earlier pieces. It is as if life is pushing them to sprout and twist around.
